How do I complete a mental health assessment that can be recognized by the Opioid Tool?

Complete mental health assessments electronically through athenaClinicals® to keep your Opioid Tool accurate.

PHQ-2©, PHQ-9©, GAD-7©, Geriatric Depression Scale© and Mood Disorder Questionnaire© are quick, commonly utilized tools to assess a patient's mental health. They can be completed within athenaClinicals®, so results can be captured electronically.

Step 1: For any patient encounter, navigate to “Screening” and click to see the list of tools in the dropdown menu

Step 2: Select the assessment tool of choice and the questionnaire will populate (or a score can be populated directly)

Step 3: Transcribe appropriate information and save
