After all necessary information is added into the tool, click “Save Discussion.”
After that, a blue ribbon will appear which indicates that the discussion has been saved.
At this point, everything from a documentation and billing standpoint has been taken care of.
Select “Show more” from the green/blue/red banner, and see a drop down of everything that was captured in the background in the chart.
The billing code is automatically posted, a clinical document is uploaded to the patient’s chart, the quality measure for Advance Care Planning is immediately satisfied, and we add a diagnosis and a modifier to the encounter.
